Guru Nanak Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology (Life Science) was established in the year 2008 under the aegis of Guru Nanak Education Trust at Panihati, Sodpur, Kolkata-700114.

The institute started its journey with the courses Bachelor in Hospital Management, B. Sc (H) in Biotechnology, B. Sc(H) in Microbiology.

In 2013 M. Sc Biotechnology, M.Sc In Genetics & B. Sc (H) in Genetics were introduced along with increased intake for B. Sc (H) in Biotechnology, B. Sc(H) in Microbiology.

M. Sc in Microbiology was introduced from 2016-17 session.

B. Sc in Medical Laboratory technology was introduced from 2018-9 session.

Our students excel in the End semester examinations conducted by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology. They are felicitated in the annual convocation organized by the university.

The faculty and students of the institute take active part in research activities and publish their research findings in journals of international repute and present papers at international/national conferences.

The institute has a number of Memorandum of Understanding with national and international universities and industries of international repute.
